Why: To serve others, grow in Christ, and have some fun!
Dear Parents and Students,
This summer the youth group is going on a short term mission trip to Wild Wonderful West Virginia! This mission trip will offer our young people a chance to serve the people living in West Virginia whose lives have been devastated by natural disasters and by poverty. The students will be repairing homes and other buildings that have been damaged by flooding. They will be painting, cleaning, hammering, roofing, plumbing, etc… and more depending on the skill level of our group. The trip will not be all work we will have one day off and West Virginia is an amazing place to go white water rafting!
Our host for this mission trip is The West Virginia Ministry of Advocacy and Workcamps
Inc. (WVMAW) which is a Christian Ministry supported in part by the Presbyterian Church (USA).
The mission trip is from August 1st through August 7th we will be driving vans and staying in dorm rooms provided by WVMAW. The cost is $210 a person for the week that is not including food and travel. I have applied for scholarships through the Central Florida Presbytery. I will be glad to answer any questions you have and there is a lot more information on the internet. Please go to web link to find out more information.
Thank You,
