Employment Opportunities???

Fri Jun 19, 2009 @ 02:15PM

We have received a good number of requests from recently unemployed congregation members asking if we’ve heard of anyone who’s hiring. The number of requests speaks to the overall state of the economy. If you are aware of any companies that are hiring we have talented and creative individuals who can contribute to all levels of an organization. Please contact the office, 407-291-2886 or web link" rel="nofollow">web link, with any information that you may have or post a job leads to our new employment forum.

A few options:

Re/MAX at Plantation Grove (on Maguire in Windermere/Ocoee next to the Publix) is currently hiring and has had a sign up for quite a while.

There is a great work-from-home opportunity for those with some call center experience and who are computer savvy - Three Stars Media is hiring "Verification Specialists" - I am currently working for them and it is a great opportunity for the right person/people. You need a real passion for helping people get jobs and encouraging them to further their education... that and a great deal of patience... =)

Additionally, the Muscular Dystrophy Association is interviewing frequently in Lake Mary and UCF areas for "Volunteer Recruitment Coordinators" through Apple One Employment --- I also do this part time at the moment. You can contact Alissa Fecteau at their Altamonte Springs location, or Peggy at their Millenia Mall location. If you do, PLEASE mention my name (Rebecca Chacko) --- and contact me right away - I'll give you a GREAT referra, and if you are hired by Apple One for any of their opportunities, they will give me a $50 referral bonus WHICH I WILL SPLIT WITH YOU ($25 for YOU). Yes, seriously. =)

Apple One also hires for many other temporary employment opportunities, so if you aren't a "phone person", check them out. I've done temporary work on and off for a total of about 10 years, and it has really helped out a lot when things have gotten "tight". There are many other temp agencies around Orlando, so if you're really looking hard and can't find anything, check 'em out. I have a list; alternatively, Alissa from Apple One will give you a list as well and you can register with them ONLINE as well at web link.

Warmest regards and my deepest prayers go out to all those who are facing and/or struggling with unemployment right now within our church and our community.
